This older logo features the Matakohe Church, symbolising the local landmark, and a kauri tree, representing the significance of our region's natural heritage.
Kelsey Wech designed our newer logo. She says, "Being a past student at Matakohe School made the honour of redesigning the school's logo that much more special. It was clear that the key feature of the new identity was to be the symbol of Matakohe's heritage, the Kauri tree; to symbolise the school’s ability to nurture and sustain generations of learners, while standing firm in its values. By weaving these cultural and historical elements into the design, we achieved a truly special outcome that not only refreshed the school’s visual identity but also celebrated its unique heritage."
