Swimming is an essential part of our summer curriculum, especially considering our proximity to the Kaipara. We are proud participants in the Sport Northland WaterSafe programme, which focuses on water safety, survival skills, and fostering a love for the water. The programme follows Water Skills for Life™, developed by Water Safety New Zealand and ACC, equipping our students with vital skills and knowledge for staying safe and confident in various water environments—whether it's a pool, beach, river, or lake. We’re fortunate to have Kirsty Hamlin lead both dryland and pool sessions with our students. Kirsty’s strong connection with our children and her engaging approach make her a favourite, ensuring that each child gains valuable water survival skills while thoroughly enjoying the learning process.
